This year’s Valentine’s Day cards were such a joy to create! I leaned into a mix of structure and spontaneity — and I love how they turned out.

For my main set of cards, I used Crafty Al’s February SheetLoad of Cards template from Crafty Al. If you’ve never tried one of her SheetLoad templates, they make batch cardmaking so simple and satisfying. I’ll be linking to her YouTube tutorial so you can follow along too!

To make these extra special, I hand-made the base paper myself, which gave each card a unique, personal touch. I paired that with the Simon Says Stamps and Dies Love and Valentines Word Mix set (retired) — such a sweet and versatile set for Valentine’s Day. Plus, I was glad to use something from my stash and not buy anything new!

The combination of handmade paper, clean layout, and heartfelt sentiments made this batch feel both polished and personal — my favorite kind of project.

Bonus Card Surprise 💌

After finishing my main set, I couldn’t resist making one extra “bonus” card using random bits and pieces I found around my craft room for Roo. Scraps, leftover embellishments, and pieces from the other cards — all the little treasures we save “just in case.”

There’s something so fun about creating without a plan, just letting the supplies guide you. I do love a good shaker card with polymer bits.

I’ve included photos of everything above — I’d love to know which one is your favorite!
