Red book cover with a black vintage car and flying envelopes; title Deadly Does It by Abbi Waxman.

Deadly Does It by Abby Waxman is the next installment in the Mann & Mason series, and I was so excited to get my hands on an early copy. After enjoying the first book, I couldn't wait to dive back in with these characters—and this sequel definitely delivered.

Once again, Waxman gives readers a fast-paced, action-packed mystery filled with sharp wit, hilarious banter, and more than a few flying fists. The humor and dialogue are some of my favorite parts of this series. The characters feel genuine, and their interactions make every page entertaining.

One of the biggest strengths of this series is its cast. From the main characters to the supporting ones, everyone feels memorable and interesting. Every new character introduced added something to the story, and I found myself wanting to learn more about all of them. It's rare to find a series where even the side characters leave such a lasting impression.

While this isn't truly a standalone novel, I don't think readers who haven't picked up the first book will feel completely lost. Reading the first installment certainly adds depth to the relationships and ongoing storylines, but Deadly Does It provides enough context that newcomers can still enjoy the ride.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story, the pacing, the humor, and the overall feel of the book. If you're looking for a mystery with plenty of action, clever dialogue, lovable characters, and a healthy dose of comedy, I highly recommend adding this one to your reading list. Be sure to pick up a copy when it releases on July 21st!
